Understanding ISO 14001:2015 is an overview course that will give the participant a general understanding of the requirements of the standard and provide insights into applying the principles of environmental management to their business. The participants will also learn how the registration process works to help them in the journey towards an ISO 14001 registered quality system. For those already registered to ISO 14001:2004, this course will provide information essential for the transition to the 2015 revision.
The international environmental management system standard, ISO 14001:2015, is the basis for an effective EMS for any business. This standard is recognized worldwide and provides businesses with a 'road map' for a system that can be tailored to their business. When the EMS is assessed and approved (registered) by an accredited third party, the market place has more confidence in the company as a supplier and it indicates a commitment to the environment and environmental performance.
